It is extremely refreshing to find someone that actually cares about the quality of their workmanship. That is something that used to be a standard here in the United States that made us industrial leaders. Workmanship and pride of one’s work and skill is what you get when you take your stereo equipment to Jim’s Vintage Turntable Repair. I am quite happy with them and recommend to Anyone.

When I brought in my Fisher Stereo in RS-2010, within two days Jim was able to call me and back and give me the results of the diagnostics and after okaying the repair, he had it to me in less than a weeks’ time. Repaired and upgraded LED. Everything shined and the sound was crystal clear. I will definitely be returning to Jim’s Vintage Turntable Repair.

When my Marantz 2600 receiver went out on me and had no dial lights or sound, I called up Jim and he told me not to worry, that he would take care of it. Two days after I brought it in, he had the diagnostics done and started ordering the parts after I okayed the estimate. And I have never been happier since I got it back. It was as good brand new. Everything worked perfect. The dials were working and so was the sound. The turntable that I brought in for him to look at too was working great too.

I was somewhat upset when my favorite Pioneer SX-1250 stereo had a hum in it and noise in most of all the controls. One of my inputs for phono player was not working. I called up Vintage Turntable and talked to the owner Jim and they said that they could get an estimate and diagnostics done on it in just two days and they kept their word. When they repaired it, it looked beautiful inside and out. The controls were clean, crystal clear sound. I also brought in a Pioneer turntable that was having problems and he repaired it and put a new stylus in it. I will be taking all by stereo business to them.

I had a stereo console that had a problem with the record player and that was fixed and then three months after that was repaired the stereo amp went out, the actual left and right channels. I called Jim back up and he came out to remove the amplifier with him and in two days he called me back and told me it was nothing but solder joints and charged me a bare minimum, which I was super happy with. I would highly recommend them.

Jim was very pleasant and helpful with fixing up my stereo. I have had it stored in my garage collecting dust for about 10 years and thought it was a lost cause. After getting in fixed up it now sounds like it did when i first bought it in the 80s! I would happily use them again.

In the process of having my Sansui receiver restored, being so impressed on the information presented back regarding initial diagnostics.   I made decision to also have my cassette player repaired.  He took the time to go over my receiver and went above and beyond making it look great once again and run like new, same with then cassette palyer.  I will be referring him to ALL friends in need of vintage audio repair.  I will definitely return any personal electronics if need be, to his expertise for repair.

I had brought a Pioneer direct drive turntable into Vintage Turntable and Stereo that had a damaged arm.  Jim had it diagnosed and information for me the first part of the following week and  I was actually picking my item up by the end of that next week.  The turntable was running in like new. Real good people to work with.  I highly recommend Vintage Turntable and Stereo.

If I were able to give any higher rating to Jim, I would.  Not only did he restore my vintage Pioneer SX 1250 receiver to like new operations, he came to my residence for an initial assessment on service call.  He was thorough in testing procedures and very informative on what the equipment would need.  He was very passionate about Audio workings and his service fee was more than fair.  (Anyone who has tried to find a repairman for vintage gear, knows it is not any easy task).  I highly recommend Jim for any audio repair service and restoration.

I am very happy with a complete restoration of my Marantz classic receiver.  I have admiration for this place, a very good small and friendly operation. Every piece of equipment they restore comes with a five-year warranty.  I have yet to see any problems for anything I have had serviced.  Great Vintage Turntables Service.

Vintage Turntable and Stereo fully restored my late 70’s Sansui receiver.   Jim personally went meticulously over and in great detail, noting any and all aspects needed for restoration.  I was in shock over all the capacitors, and any other parts they had to replace.  I now have been able to enjoy my restored receiver for dedicated stereo music listening.  Finding newly found crispness and clear detail.  Thank you, Vintage Turntable, for bringing my classic stereo receiver back to life.  I will look to Jim for all my future repairs and definitely tell anyone I encounter in need of vintage audio repair, service.

Great shop.  The repairs to my early 70’s cassette deck and all-in-one unit (turntable, eight track, and radio) was done properly and efficiently.  As well as a fair pricing.  Jim really knows what he is doing.    I will definitely be a repeat customer even though I live out of state.  He was able to advise me how to safely ship my unit to him.  His office advised receipt of it and processed my diagnostic fee over the phone as well as final billing once return shipment was ready.

The owner has a wealth of knowledge about electronics.   This is THE place to take any vintage equipment you have.   If you really care about it, they know how it to service it.  The GO TO place for audio repair, restoration service, and information on vintage audio equipment.

I have to say these guys really know their classic audio.  They charge a fair price for their services.  Jim has the knowledge, experience and skill to accurately diagnose most problems in a reasonable amount of time.  Some problems need a little more time, but it is well worth it.  No one else I have encountered in my search for repair has shown any comparable level of skill, knowledge or expertise. My 1978 Marantz receiver was restored to quality near new condition.  My testimony is this is the ONLY place I would offer a recommendation to family or friends to take broken stereos for repair.

Jim is the guru of vintage and I would offer that his expertise goes unmatched.  I had found a vintage Pioneer at a garage sale.  I had no knowledge of any classic audio devices, but Jim took the time to help me understand how it works and get it going again.  He might sometimes have a back log of other works, but that is only a way to see he is trusted to have the ability to do the job.

I cannot say enough good things about Vintage Turntable and Stereo.  A few years back, I had bought a Marantz amplifier via EBAY.  This amp was described as “ a great example of classic vintage equipment”.  .  It was full of dirt and bugs, would not power up.  This would be about the extent of what it would do though. However, Jim suggested it was a quality item that might be salvageable.  It took a few weeks, but when it was complete, I had an awesome example of classic audio equipment.  The resurrected Marantz 2216.  Great work saving my find Jim.  Many thanks and the highest regard, for your repair service.
